Three Colour Silver and Gold Plated Feather Necklace

I came across this lovely necklace whilst searching for a unique present for a friend, and I liked it so much, I returned to buy it a week later. Initially, the different feathers didn't fall flat, or in the right order, for some reason. (Think like when a set of keys are put away and then, when picked up to use, the keys appear to be caught up in the key rings/chain and so not in order or fully "untangled" to use.) Once I got used to sorting this, carefully, prior to wearing, I had to remember to take it off before going to bed. The ends of the feathers linking to the chain are very narrow and thin, and so bend easily - which resulted in one feather breaking off completely! (Even if not worn to bed, they are still so delicate that they do bend in this area, just with day-to-day wearing.) Unfortunately, this costs a lot to fix, with the plated metal, and is essential, since the unique style of this necklace really disappears with just two feathers left. However, overall, it is a lovely necklace. Just remember that it is more delicate than many, and so needs extra care. To the silversmiths, for Beaverbrooks, I recommend that you strengthen this area of each feather.
