Frederique Constant FAQs

Frederique Constant watches need to be wound to keep the movement ticking. A watch with a manual movement will need to be wound when the power reserve has run its course, as the movement will stop. An automatic watch will gain energy from the wearer’s movements to keep the movement running, but may need winding by hand from time to time. To wind your Frederique Constant watch, turn the crown clockwise or anti-clockwise. For more advice and information, discover The Beginner’s Guide: How to Wind an Automatic Watch.

Setting a Frederique Constant watch requires turning the crown. Pull the crown out once from the winding position and move the crown in a clockwise direction to change the time until it’s displaying correctly. Check if your Frederique Constant watch has a date window, and continue winding until the date is correct.
